THE ORGANISATION

The Irish Society for Colitis and Crohn's Disease (ISCC) is a support
organisation in Ireland for people who are living with, or impacted
by, Crohn's disease or ulcerative colitis (collectively known as
Inflammatory Bowel Disease or IBD). We work to improve the quality of
life and well-being of the IBD community through sensitive support
services, including advocacy, provision of information, training and
events. We aim to encourage and educate healthcare professionals in
the importance and value of peer support as an adjunct to their
management of IBD.

HOW CAN YOU MAKE A DIFFERENCE?

With the support of the ISCC trustees, the successful candidate will
develop a strategy to increase revenue from high value partnerships,
events and regular giving and will provide input into the overall
Fundraising and Communications strategy.

The Communications & Fundraising Lead will assist in the development
and implementation of an effective internal and external marketing,
communications & social media strategy using a wide range of
techniques including digital and traditional marketing, social media
and public relations.

DUTIES WILL INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING:

* Cultivate relationships with new and existing partners and donors
* Make pitches and presentations to high value partners
* Maintain a database to coordinate leads and follow ups
* Communicate the ISCC?s message effectively to a broad range of
stakeholders and audiences including politicians, members and the
general public.
* Promote the ISCC?s aims and objectives using a wide range of
communication tools and approaches, including the ISCC website and via
social media and digital marketing.

TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL IDEALLY POSSESS THE FOLLOWING
EXPERIENCE:

* 3+ years? experience in a communications or fundraising role
* Proven ability to write compelling cases for support and
experience in running campaigns
* Strong networking skills and a proven track record of identify
prospective partners and donors
* Confidence working independently and driving projects from
beginning to end
* Strong reporting, analytical & IT skills
* Knowledge of voluntary sector and relevant legislation
* Strong writing ability across a range of media (online and
offline)
* Demonstrated ability to multi-task and manage competing priorities
